微型巩膜镜在眼表疾病的临床应用及研究进展

巩膜接触镜是一种大直径的硬性、透气性接触镜,它不与角膜接触,完全由巩膜支撑.近年来,由于巩膜接触镜可通过和角膜前表面形成泪液池,中和光学像差,为角膜不规则患者提供清晰稳定的视力,还可有效治疗多种眼表疾病,随着其临床应用的安全性不断提高,日渐成为一种新型治疗手段.为使巩膜镜的配戴更加便捷与舒适,巩膜镜在材质和设计上不断更新,由此出现了微型巩膜镜(mini-scleral lens),这种小直径巩膜镜不但保留了巩膜镜的优点,更具应用优势,更容易配戴,适用范围更广,可用于治疗原发或继发的不规则角膜,还可有效治疗多种眼表疾病导致的干眼.此外,微型巩膜镜还可与药物合用增加药效.本文针对微型巩膜镜在眼表疾病的应用情况、不良反应及相关研究进展进行阐述,以期为临床应用提供参考.(国际眼科纵览,2024,48:20-24)
Mini-scleral contact lenses for ocular surface diseases
Scleral contact lens(SCL)is a large-diameter,rigid,breathable contact lens.It is not contact with the cornea and is completely supported by the sclera.In recent years,SCL can form a tear res-ervoir between the posterior surface of the lens and the anterior surface of the cornea,neutralize optical aber-rations to provide clear and stable vision for patients with corneal irregularities,due to the continuous im-provement of its safety in clinical application,SCL has become a widely accepted new treatment method and can also effectively treat a variety of ocular surface diseases.In order to make the wearing of the lenses more convenient and comfortable,the SCL has been continuously updated in material and design,resulting in the emergence of mini SCL,which not only retain the advantages of SCL,have better application advantages in clinical applications,but also are easier to wear and have a wider range of applications.Mini-SCL can be used to treat primary or secondary irregular corneas,also can effectively treat dry eye caused by a variety of ocular surface diseases.In addition,Mini-SCL can also be combined with drugs to increase the efficacy of the drug.This article briefly describes the application,adverse reactions and related research progress of mini-SCL in ocular surface diseases,in order to provide reference for clinical treatment.(Int Rev Ophthal-mol,2024,48:20-24)
