Efficacy of ambroxol hydrochloride for acuteexacerbation of chronic bronchitis
Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of ambroxol hydrochloride for patients with acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis. Methods During Jan.2015 and Oct.2016,102 patients with acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis were randomly divided into the observation group and control group, with 51 cases in either group. Both groups were given antitussive,antiasthma,anti-phlegm and antibiotics.Patients in the observation group also received intravenous ambroxol hydrochloride. Both groups were treated for 7 d.The clinical effective rate, changes in blood gas(PaO2,PaCO2)and inflammatory factors(IL-6,IL-10,TNF-α),and adverse events were compared. Results The clinical effective rate of observation and control group was 96.08%and 80.39%,with significant difference(P<0.05).There were no differences in PaO2,PaCO2,IL-6,IL-10,and TNF-α between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05),while these indicators were better in the observation group than in the control group after treatment(P<0.05).The adverse reaction rate was 11.76%in the observation group and 7.84%in the control group, with no statistical significance(P>0.05).Conclusion Ambroxol hydrochloride helps to improve the efficacy in the treatment of acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis, and has a positive effect on improving blood gas and reducing inflammatory factors, while it does not increase the risk of adverse reactions.
