Predictive Value of Plasma Heat Shock Protein 90 α Expression on the Prognosis of Transcatheter Arterial Chemoembolization in Elderly Patients with Primary Liver Cancer
Objective To investigate the value of plasma heat shock protein 90α(Hsp90α)in the prognostic assessment of elderly patients with primary hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)after transcatheter arterial chemoembolization(TACE).Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on 110 elderly patients diagnosed with primary HCC who underwent TACE in the Interventional Department of the High-tech Zone of Jilin Cancer Hospital from February 2020 to February 2022.The expression of Hsp90α in pre-operative plasma was detected using ELISA,with a cut-off value of 60 ng/mL.Patients were divided into the high Hsp90α expres-sion group(55 cases)and the low Hsp90α expression group(37 cases).Kaplan-Meier method was used to draw survival curves, and the Log-rank test was used to compare the differences in survival curves.Multivariate Cox regression analysis was performed to analyze the relationship between plasma Hsp90α expression and the prognosis of elderly patients with primary HCC treated with TACE.Results The cumulative survival rates of two-year overall survival and progression-free survival in the high Hsp90α expression group were lower than those in the low Hsp90α expression group(P<0.05).Multivariate Cox regression analysis results showed that high Hsp90α expression was an independent risk factor affecting overall survival and progression-free survival in patients(P<0.05).Conclusion The expression level of plasma Hsp90α in elderly patients with primary HCC can serve as an independent pre-dictive factor for short-term prognosis after receiving TACE treatment.
