Analysis of Mycoplasma Detection and Drug Resistance in the Urogenital Tract of Female in Different Age Groups in Leshan
Objective In order to establish a foundation for the clinical diagnosis and management of Mycoplasma infection in the female genitourinary tract,it is necessary to examine the finding of Mycoplasma in the genitourinary tract and its resistance to antimicrobial medications in female patients of various ages in the Leshan region of Sichuan Province. Methods The findings of the Mycoplasma culture and medication sensitivity tests were examined retrospectively on 1064 female genitourinary tract specimens that were treated in the dermatology and gynecology departments of Leshan People's Hospital in Sichuan Province between September 2020 and October 2022.Results Among 1 064 specimens tested, the positive rate of Mycoplasma culture was 53.75%(572/1 064),mainly concentrated in two age groups of 21~30 and 31~40,accounting for 20.21%(215/1 064)and 17.48%(186/1 064),respectively,and the difference in the positive detection rate was statistically significant(P<0.01)when comparing the age groups.Among the positive cases,44.36%(472/1 064)were detected for Uu alone,0.56%(6/1 064)for Mh alone, and 8.83%(94/1064)for Uu+Mh mixed. For Uu alone, the sensitivity rate of cloxacillin, doxycycline, memantine and tetracycline was more than 94.07%,while the sensitivity rate of of ofloxacin, ciprofloxacin, levofloxacin and sparfloxacin was less than 12.92%.The sensitivity rates of doxycycline, memantine and cross-fastenomycin,and tetracycline reached 100.0%for Mh positive alone, and the sensitivity rates of the rest of drugs were lower than 33.33%.For mixed Uu+Mh positivity, the sensitivity rate of doxycycline, minocycline and josamycin was higher than 86.17%,and the sensitivity rate of tetracycline was 73.40%,and the sensitivity rate of other drugs was lower than 5.32%.Conclusion For female genitourinary tract infections, the mixed Uu+Mh positivity had the lowest detection rate, whereas the Uu alone positivity had the greatest.21~30 years old and 31~40 years old were the two age groups with high prevalence of infection.Mycoplasma is sensitive to doxycycline, memantine and cross-famil,and is severely resistant to ofloxacin, levofloxacin and ciprofloxacin. The clinical selection of antimicrobial drugs should be reasonable according to the type of infection and the sensitivity of antimicrobial drugs.
