This paper studies the impact of digital trade on new quality productivity based on panel data from 30 provincial-level administrative regions in China spanning from 2012 to 2022.It employs econometric models for empirical analysis.The results indicate that digital trade significantly promotes the development of new quality productivity,primarily by enhancing technological innovation ability and facilitating industrial structure upgrading.Furthermore,financial development plays a positive regulatory role in the relationship between digital trade and new quality productivity,particularly in the central and western regions of China,where digital trade exerts a more pronounced promoting effect on new quality productivity.
