Progress in catalytic technologies for polyester synthesis
The progress of the polyester industry cannot be separated from advanced catalytic technologies.This paper reviewed the research progress of catalytic systems for polyester synthesis.Focusing on the current dominant metal catalytic systems,this paper summarized the researches on metal composite,ligand modification and catalyst support of antimony,titanium,tin,germanium and aluminum catalysts in terms of catalytic activity and side reactions,and introduced the progress of non-metal catalytic systems such as organic catalysts,ionic liquids and enzymes,and reviewed the catalytic assisted technologies such as electricity,light,and microwave for polyester synthesis.The development of catalytic systems with good catalytic capacity,less side reaction and mild polymerization conditions required is conducive to the improvement of polyester quality.The research and development of efficient polyester catalytic technology can be accelerated by applying advanced characterization methods,model studies,and the revelation of the structure-property relationship of polyester in the research of catalytic system.
