Determination of vapor-liquid equilibrium of the acetic acid + isopropanol esterification system and extractive distillation
Vapor-liquid equilibrium data plays an important role in azeotrope separation. To solve the problem of azeotrope separation in acetic acid + isopropanol esterification reaction system, the vapor-liquid equilibrium data of acetic acid + isopropanol +isopropyl acetate, acetic acid + isopropanol + water, acetic acid + isopropyl acetate + water, and isopropanol + isopropyl acetate + water were determined by Dvorak-Boublik equilibrium kettle.Thermodynamic consistency test and NRTL(nonrandom two-liquid)model correlation were performed on the experimental data. The feasibility of azeotrope separation was analyzed by residue curve. The extractive distillation process of isopropanol + isopropyl acetate + water was simulated and optimized by Aspen Plus. The results show that the mass fraction of isopropyl acetate and isopropanol are≥98%and≥99%,respectively.The results provide the data of ternary vapor-liquid equilibrium of acetic acid + isopropanol esterification reaction system, and show a theoretical basis for azeotrope separation of the system.
