Corrosion inhibition of N-alkyl alkynyl pyridinium bromide on X70 steel in high acidic media
To prevent corrosion of X70 steel in high acidic media,N-alkyl alkynyl pyridinium bromide(NTHPB)was synthesized by acetylation and quaternary ammonium reaction using 2-chloromethyl pyridine, propargyl alcohol and tetradecane bromide as start materials, and its structure was confirmed by 1H-NMR,13C-NMR,MS and FTIR.The corrosion inhibition performance of NTHPB on X70 steel in 5 mol·L-1 HCl was evaluated by weight loss, polarization curve and AC impedance methods, the adsorption behavior of NTHPB on X70 Steel was investigated by SEM,XRD,UV and contact angle. The results show that NTHPB has excellent corrosion inhibition performance on X70 steel. The inhibition efficiency of NTHPB at 5×10-5mol·L-1 reached 99.54%at 60℃in 5 mol·L-1 HCl,and the inhibition efficiency increased with the increase of concentration of NTHPB and decreased with the increase of temperature. The adsorption of NTHPB on X70 steel was a spontaneous exothermic adsorption process, which is due to the combination of physical and chemical adsorption and conforms to the Langmuir isothermal adsorption rule. This study presents a new direction for the development and design of corrosion inhibitors with strong acid resistance and high performance.
