Strengthening the construction of border areas,promoting the prosperity of the border and stabilising and fixing the border is a strategic plan put forward in the report of the 20th Party Congress,and the high-quality development of border areas is of great significance for comprehensively advancing the Chinese-style modernisation and realising common prosperity. At present,the level of high-quality development in the border areas needs to be upgraded urgently,and high-quality development empowered by the digital economy is an important strategic choice to accelerate the formation of new quality productive forces in the border areas. Digital economy at the micro level through the matching of supply and demand,cost savings,economies of scale,economies of scope and other ef-fects to help accelerate the transformation of enterprises in the border areas,at the meso level to promote the optimi-sation of industrial organisation and industrial structure transmutation,and at the macro level to promote the im-provement of resource allocation efficiency and technological progress,to improve the level of innovation,coordina-tion,greening,openness and sharing of the border areas by digital means is the key path to achieve high-quality de-velopment. In the face of the new development pattern,we put forward the path outlook for the development of the digital economy in the frontier region from the aspects of improving the policy guarantee system,digital industry sys-tem construction,digital governance construction,digital open environment improvement,etc.,in order to compre-hensively promote the level of digitalisation in the border areas,and boost the high-quality development of the econ-omy.
