The digital economy greatly promoted the economic growth,and the digital industry cooperation as a key content of development has become the focus of research. However,there are few studies on the impact of digi-tal industry cooperation on economic development at this stage. Therefore,the relevant data of the digital industry in China and ASEAN countries from 2008 to 2022 are selected to construct a comprehensive evaluation system to mea-sure the effectiveness of digital industry cooperation by PCA. In addition,this paper explores the impact of digital industry cooperation between China and ASEAN countries on economic growth both theoretically and empirically. The results show that digital industry cooperation can significantly promote the economic growth of cooperating countries,especially in higher-income countries or in the initial stage of cooperation. Through the mechanism analy-sis,it is further verified that digital industry cooperation promotes economic growth by improving networked readi-ness,reducing trade costs,enhancing technological innovation capability and upgrading industrial structure. Based on the above,corresponding countermeasures are put forward to continuously deepen the development of China-ASEAN digital industry cooperation and maintain the correct development direction of the digital economy.
