A STUDY ON THE ADAPTATION OF VIETNAMESE CROSS-BORDER LABOR IN PINGXIANG CITY OF GUANGXI
Under the"Belt and Road"initiative,cross-border labor cooperation has been carried out in the border areas, and the surplus labor force from Vietnamese side has been absorbed in the form of labor dispatch to work in China in an orderly manner.Taking Pingxiang in Guangxi as the field site, this paper, through participatory observation and interview, compares four different types of cross-border Vietnamese laborers as farm laborers, casual laborers, factory workers, and service industry practitioners regarding their differentiated adaptations in the"Three-layer Adaptation"of daily work, social interaction, and cultural custom, and then clarifies the logic of Vietnamese laborers'joining in the reproduction of mobile order.
