RESHAPING THE PLACENESS OF MANGJING VILLAGE BY THE OLD TEA FOREST IN JINGMAI MOUNTAIN:A Case Study of Mangjing Village
From the perspectives of ecology and economy, the paper analyzes the process of reshaping the placeness of Mangjing Village in Jingmai Mountain taking humanism and structuralism into consideration, and explores the interaction of matter between reshaping the placeness and human practice. It is found that the Old Tea Forest bears social meaning which evolves with the development of society, and demonstrates the dynamism of the social meaning carried by matter through the mutual influence and co-evolution of the cultural practice of the subject and the social system. However, social meaning is practiced by diverse subjects, among whom there are conflicts, games and compromises in the interests, which makes the process of the reconstruction full of uncertainty. In the process of demonstrating individuality, the Old Tea Forest has undergone a transformation from low production and backwardness to gaining ecological and organic discourse.Through historical imagination, the local people con-nected the material social significance with the national cultural memory, and carried on the continuous construction and reshaping of placeness. On this basis, their own national cultural system has been formed, and the placeness of Mangjing Village has been reshaped.
