GOVERNANCE OF YUNNAN PROVINCE BY YUAN DYNASTY UNDER THE VISION OF FORGING A STRONG CHINESE NATIONAL COMMUNITY
From 1253 to 1382,the Yuan Dynasty ruled Yunnan province(located in southwest China)for over 100 years.During this period,the Yuan Dynasty actively carried out border governance in Yunnan by developing agriculture,promoting Confucianism,setting up post offices and implementing ethnic pacification policies.These measures not only benefited the people of Yunnan,but also accelerated the integration of Yunnan with the main-land,thereby promoting the development of Chinese national community.Therefore,summarizing the measures taken by the Yuan Dynasty in the governance of Yunnan's border areas has great significance for strengthening border con-struction and forging a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation today.
