THE IMPACTS OF SOCIAL INCLUSION ON FLOATING POPULATION'S SENSE OF COMMUNITY FOR THE CHINESE NATION
Forging a sense of community for the Chinese nation is the inevitable requirement for realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation,the main line of ethnic work in the new era,the"Outline"for promoting the high-quality development of ethnic work in the new era,and the floating population is an indispensable part of forging a sense of community for the Chinese nation.Using the data from the 2021 Chinese Social Survey,the paper explors the impacts of social inclusion on floating population's sense of community for the Chinese nation and the role of residence time.The study finds out that floating polulation's sense of community for the Chinese nation is heterogeneous in terms of education and marital status;the higher the floating population's evaluation on social inclusion,the higher level of their sense of community for the Chinese nation;residence time positively moderates the relationship between social fairness and a sense of community for the Chinese nation,and negatively moderates the relationship between social tolerance and a sense of community for the Chinese nation.The research results not only provide empirical support for forging a sense of community for the Chinese nation among floating population,but also offer a practical path to promoting the construction of social inclusion.
