Study on key parameters of irrigation system for Wogan young citrus trees
Water consumption test of single Wogan young tree was carried out at Guilin Farmland Irrigation Test Cen-ter Station.Soil volumetric water content was monitored in real time by intelligent soil moisture meter ET100.Water consumption and water consumption intensity were calculated by water balance method. The results showed that:①The annual water consumption of 3-year old young citrus tree is 542.6m3/mu(1mu≈667m2),of which June is the month with the highest water consumption and December is the month with the minimum water consumption. The water consumption of 10~40cm deep soil layer takes up 71.8%of the annual water consumption, and the annual wa-ter consumption of soil layers below 40cm accounts for 28.2%of the annual water consumption.②Irrigation into a 10cm-deep soil layer can only maintain the water consumption of the 3-year old young citrus trees in the first 4 days.20cm-deep soil layer was dominant in the water consumption.Within 12 days after irrigation, the depth of the mainly affected soil layer was only 30cm.③The main root system of 3-year old young citrus trees is concentrated at a depth of 20cm,so the suitable irrigation depth of young trees should be set at 20cm.④The maximum and mini-mum irrigation intervals for the four typical stages of the 3-year old young citrus trees are 10 days and 5 days, with a median of 8 days.
