Analysis of necessity and feasibility of Baidonghe Reservoir Expansion Project
Due to various reasons,some early constructed large and medium-sized reservoirs were unable to fully play the role of regulation and storage.Making full use of the water supply potential of the existing reservoirs is of great significance for ensuring water safety in arid areas.Combined with the study of water supply guarantee plan for the arid areas of Youjiang River Valley in Guangxi,expansion of built Baidonghe Reservoir is proposed.By modify-ing the spillway,the normal water storage level is to be raised,the regulation storage capacity increased and the run-off regulating effect improved,so as to better ensure regional water supply and flood control security.
