Hydraulic calculation of flood discharge tunnel for Tuoying Reservoir
The original construction diversion tunnel of Tuoying Reservoir will be modified to become flood dis-charge tunnel incorporating with reservoir emptying and sand flushing,so the hydraulic calculation took into consid-eration the requirements of diversion tunnel,flood discharge tunnel and emptying tunnel.The flow conditions were relatively complex under flood discharge operation,so 1:80 integral hydraulic model test of the overall reservoir and 1:80 construction diversion integral model test were conducted,which verified the feasibility of flood discharge tun-nel design.
