Application of ArcGIS Kriging interpolation method in spatiotemporal analysis of precipitation evolution for Beihai City
Based on the data of 52 daily rainfall stations in Beihai City,the spatiotemporal distribution characteris-tics of regional monthly precipitation during the main flood season were statistically counted.With the monthly aver-age precipitation of various rainfall stations as input,the spatial distribution characteristics was analyzed by ArcGIS Kriging interpolation method.The results of analysis demonstrate ArcGIS Kriging interpolation method can reflect to certain extent the spatial distribution of precipitation in Beihai city.The monthly variation of rainfall in Beihai City is significant,with uneven spatial distribution.The average monthly precipitation generally increases from east to west.The precipitation in the west is relatively abundant,which may be caused by factors such as the warm and humid airflow in the western part of Beihai region,geographical location,and terrain structure.
