Study of meteorological drought and hydrological drought evolution characteristics and relationship for upper reaches of Guyi River
Based on the monthly precipitation and runoff data of the upper reaches of Guyi River from 1973 to 2022,the author calculated the standard precipitation indexes and standard runoff indexes on different time scales,ana-lyzed the evolution characteristics of meteorological drought and hydrological drought,discussed the response char-acteristics of hydrological drought to meteorological drought.The results of study demonstrate on an annual scale,the degree of meteorological and hydrological drought in the upper reaches of Guyi River has gradually decreased in the past 50 years;the occurrence frequency of meteorological drought in the study area is variable within 25%~40%with high value centers generally distributed in the southwest region;and on a 3-month scale,the response time of hydrological drought to meteorological drought is 0~1 month.
