Effect of irrigation volume on agronomic traits and yield of chili pepper with under-film drip irrigation
In order to study the effect of drip irrigation volume on the agronomic traits of chili pepper,so as to select the optimum drip irrigation scheme, experiments were carried out at the planting base of Irrigation Test Station of Qinzhou City in Guangxi.Analysis was made on the effects of irrigation volume on the agronomic traits and yield of chili pepper as well as water use efficiency. The results of study demonstrate that when the irrigation volume is 1940 m3/hm2,the growth of soft skin hot green pepper with under-film drip irrigation is the best with the maximum yield of 39 335.55 kg/hm2;and the plant height and stem diameter being both greater than that under conditions of other irrigation schemes. With the decrease of irrigation volume, the agronomic traits and yield of chili pepper show a gradual decline trend.Taking into account crop yield and water use efficiency, for under-film drip irrigation plant-ing mode, the irrigation volume should be1920 m3/hm2.
