Case Analysis and Reflections on the Application of Artificial Intelligence in U.S.University Libraries
This article endeavors to offer insights for the application of artificial intelligence(AI)within Chinese university libraries by examining successful implementations in American university libraries.Grounded in a comprehensive review of literature research and online surveys,the study summarizes some noteworthy progresses in the application of AI in U.S.university libraries in recent years.Five representative American university libraries are selected as case studies to analyze how they apply AI to preserve distinctive collec-tions,support teaching and research,and support students'extracurricular innovative activities.Finally,it summarizes the main cha-llenges faced by AI applications in university libraries and proposes strategies to deal with them.
