Research on Academic Service Needs of University Libraries for Research Integrity Education Among College Students:A Case Study of Capital Normal University
Using a questionnaire-based survey method,the article takes Capital Normal University as a case to collect and analyze col-lege students'awareness levels of research integrity and their differentiated needs for research integrity education.The findings reveal that most students have a limited grasp of the concept of research integrity and limited knowledge of national policies on research integri-ty.Their awareness of research misconduct is mainly confined to basic forms such as plagiarism,falsification,and tampering.Most students believe that libraries should play a significant role in research integrity education and are particularly interested in receiving in-struction on academic writing standards and the concept of research integrity.Additionally,they express strong interest in topics such as proper citation practices and how to avoid predatory journals.Based on these findings,the article suggests that university libraries should provide varied resources for research integrity education,enhance guidance on proper citation practices,compile warning re-sources against predatory journals,explore services to guide the use of artificial intelligence,and establish consultation and support services for research integrity.
