Analysis on the Proportion of Measurement Error of Outside Micrometer
In order to ensure the accuracy of conductor resistivity measurement and make judgments on the performance of cable products,it is necessary to reduce the measurement error of the outer diameter of single wire. The measurement error of single wire outside micrometer mainly consists of system error and random error. The experimental research is conducted on the proportion of system error and human error,as well as the reasons for the occurrence of errors, within the error tolerance required by the micrometer standard. The research results find that the measurement error fluctuates around the system error value of the micrometer, with the micrometer system error accounting for approximately 72.5%and human error accounting for approximately 27.5%.At the same time, due to the different measurement abilities of the inspectors, there are significant differences in the standard deviation of the measurement results obtained. To improve the accuracy of measuring the outer diameter of single wire,it is advisable to use an outside micrometer with a small system error, and tighten the error requirements appropriately according to standard requirements.
