Analysis and Improvement of Bamboo-Shaped Defects in Insulation of MV Cross-Linked Cables
The bamboo-shaped defect in the insulation of MV cross-linked cables is an apparent quality defect that cannot be repaired in the later stage, which can lead to a large amount of rework of insulated single wires,a significant increase in manufacturing costs, unnecessary waste of materials, and delayed delivery. Therefore,in response to the intermittent insulation bamboo-shaped defects that are prone to occur in the production of MV cross-linked cable insulated single wires with small cross sections below 15 kV on the domestic three-layer co-extrusion suspension chain production line, through data tracking statistics, fishbone diagram defect cause analysis, and confirmation of the main cause of defects in the confirmation schedule, corrective and preventive measures are proposed for the main cause of defects. The defect rate is successfully reduced from 6.12%to 1.75%,resulting in significant improvement benefits.
