Application of artificial intelligence to the field of nasopharyngeal carcinoma imaging:opportunities and challenges
Nasopharyngeal carcinoma is one of the common malignant tumors in the head and neck,early diagnosis and precise treatment are of great importance.Artificial intelligence(AI)technique can deeply explore the relation of imaging data with diagnosis,treatment,and prognosis of nasopharyngeal carcinoma,and will have broad application prospects to the field of precision medicine of nasopharyngeal carcinoma.However,a series of challenges still need to be overcome to achieve widespread clinical application of AI technique.In this paper,application progress on AI technique to the imaging field of nasopharyngeal carcinoma is reviewed,and opportunities and challenges of current application of AI technique to the imaging field of nasopharyngeal carcinoma are analyzed,aiming at opening up a novel direction for early diagnosis and individualized treatment of nasopharyngeal carcinoma.
