Weight-reducing Ointment Combined with Tuina Manipulation in the Treatment of Simple Obesity of Spleen Deficiency and Dampness Type
[Objective]To observe the therapeutic effect of weight-reducing ointment combined with tuina manipu-lation in the treatment of simple obesity of spleen deficiency and dampness type.[Methods]A total of 62 patients with simple obesity of spleen deficiency and dampness type were randomly divided into control group and treatment group,with 31 cases in each group.The control group was treated with self-made weight-reducing ointment of traditional Chi-nese medicine,healthy diet and physical exercise education.The patients in the treatment group were treated with tuina manipulation on the basis of the control group.Both groups were treated once every two days,10 times as a course of treatment.After 2 courses of treatment,the clinical efficacy of the two groups was evaluated.The changes of body weight,waist circumference,body mass index(BMI),TCM syndrome scores and blood lipid levels as serum total choles-terol(TC),triglyceride(TG),high density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C),low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C)were observed in the two groups.[Results]The total effective rate of the treatment group was 93.55％,which was higher than 70.97％of the control group(P<0.05).After treatment,the levels of body weight,waist circumference,BMI,TC,TG,LDL-C and TCM syndrome scores in the two groups were significantly lower than those before treatment,and the level of HDL-C was higher than that before treatment(all P<0.05).The differences of body weight,waist cir-cumference,TC,TG,HDL-C and LDL-C before and after treatment in the treatment group were greater than those in the control group(all P<0.05),and the levels of BMI and TCM syndrome scores were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).[Conclusion]The curative effect of weight-reducing ointment combined with tuina manipulation in the treatment of simple obesity of spleen deficiency and dampness type is approved,and it has the value of clinical promo-tion.
