Clinical Study on Improving Pregnancy Outcome of IUI Patients by Adding Cycle Therapy of Traditional Chinese Medicine
[Objective]To observe the clinical effect of cycle therapy of traditional Chinese medicine in improving the pregnancy outcome of patients with intrauterine insemination(IUI).[Methods]A total of 40 patients with anovulato-ry infertility due to spleen-kidney deficiency who underwent induced ovulation combined with IUI were divided into treatment groups with 20 cases by Chinese medicine cycle therapy combined with induced ovulation and 20 cases by simple induced ovulation.The clinical efficacy,endometrial thickness and morphology on trigger day,ovulation rate and pregnancy rate were compared between the two groups.[Results]The total effective rate was 95%in the treatment group and 60%in the control group.The difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).The endometrial thickness and the proportion of type A endometrium on the trigger day in the treatment group were signifi-cantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).The ovulation rate of the treatment group and the control group was similar(P>0.05).The pregnancy rate was 45%in the treatment group and 15%in the control group.The difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).[Conclusion]In the intrauterine insemination cycle,the application of traditional Chinese medicine cycle therapy can thicken the endometrium,improve endometrial receptivi-ty,and thus increase the pregnancy rate.
