LH-1 strong acidic cation exchange resin was prepared by halogenating and sulfonating modification treatment of macroporous polystyrene/divinylbenzene copolymer.Using ethanol and isobutene as the raw materials and five cation exchange resins as the catalysts,the synthesis of ethyl tert-butyl ether was studied.The results indicated that the bigger the acidic ion exchange capacity of the resins,the better their catalytic activity;ethyl tert-butyl ether synthesis related to their pore structure,and the influence of resin pore structure was greater than that of acidic ion exchange capacity.LH-1 resin exhibited the best activity under the experimental condition.
