Preparation and catalytic performance of Fe-In based composite oxides catalyst for phenol methylation
Fe-In composite oxide catalyst was prepared by co precipitation,aging,washing,drying,calcina-tion,crushing,and shaping, and used for catalyzing the gas-phase alkylation of phenol to produce o-meth-ylphenol.The effects of preparation temperature, end point pH value, and the molar ratio of active compo-nent substances on the crystal phase, pore structure, and catalytic activity of the catalyst were investig-ated.The results showed that when the preparation temperature was 55 ℃,the end point pH value was about 8.5,and n(Fe):n(In):n(Cr):n(Al)=100∶2∶1∶1,the catalyst performance was optimal, with o-cresol yield of 41.1%.The use of this catalyst to prepare ortho methylphenol has high selectivity and a simple process, making it suitable for continuous large-scale production.
