Catalytic dehydrogenation of industrial dipentene to prepare p-cymene
The catalytic dehydrogenation of industrial dipentene was used to prepare p-cymene,and the effect of catalyst preparation process and reaction temperature on product distribution were studied. The results show that the palladium carbon catalyst obtained by using activated carbon pretreated with formic acid as the carrier, and then loaded with 1% Pd as active component has good catalytic activity when applied to industrial dipentene catalytic dehydrogenation reaction.Under the conditions of reaction temperature of 180 ℃,nitrogen flow rate of 50 mL·min-1,atmospheric pressure, and airspeed of 0.5 h-1,the yield of p-cymene is 85.65%.The reaction temperature affects the performance and stability of the catalyst. When the reaction temperature is 180 ℃,the yield and stability period reach optimal results. This study can provide technical support for the deep processing of industrial dipentene.
