Study on Influence of Nonuniform Settlement on Gas Insulated Transmission Line
The gas-insulated transmission line(GIL)is an efficient and safe transmission technology emerging in re-cent years, but GIL installed underground is prone to be affected by nonuniform settlement. In this paper, the influ-ence of the nonuniform settlement on the underground pipe gallery and GIL is studied.Through the field test, the ver-tical settlement at the shallow ditch of the terminal station is measured within 300 days.Based on the measured re-sults,a finite element model of the gallery-GIL pipe is set up to estimate the influence of the nonuniform and overall settlement on the GIL pipe. The way of reducing the vertical stiffness between the pipe and the support to reduce the settlement stress of the GIL pipe is proposed. The results show that the settlement at the shallow ditch is up to 32 mm within the monitoring period, and the deformation joint is the largest settlement position. The position with small sup-port spacing is prone to be affected by the nonuniform settlement and the nonuniform settlement at the shallow ditch is larger.Reducing the vertical stiffness is the key factor to reduce the influence of the nonuniform settlement on GIL pipe. The results in this paper can provide reference and support for GIL pipe monitoring and prevention of nonuni-form settlement.
