ANALYSIS ON WATER TEMPERATURE VARIATION CHARACTERISTICS OF XIAGUAN HOT SPRING BEFORE THE Ms4.2 EARTHQUAKE IN WEISHAN,YUNNAN PROVINCE IN 2024
On April 19,2024,an Ms4.2 earthquake occurred in Weishan,Yunnan.The water temperature of XiaGuan Hot Spring showed a short-term rapid decline before the earthquake.This paper systematically dis-cusses the reasons for the decline of water temperature in XiaGuan Hot Spring and its relationship with the Weishan Ms4.2 earthquake.The results show that:the change of water temperature drop is real and reliable,during the phase of decreasing water temperature,the Mg2+content of hot springs increased and the rest of the ions decreased;the drop of water temperature in Xiaguan Hot Spring is caused by the rupture of the surround-ing water pipes and the mixing of cold water in the surface layer,after the broken water pipes were repaired,the water temperature quickly rose to the normal level before the temperature drop,and it is not the precursor anomalous information before the Ms4.2 earthquake of Weishan,Yunnan Provinc;On April 24,2024.
