Impact research of gas phase content on the metrological performance of ultrasonic flowmeters and electromagnetic flowmeters
Pipeline flow measurement are mostly large diameter electromagnetic flow meters or plug-in ultrasonic flow meters in the fields of daily water supply and drainage, agricultural irrigation, industrial production, and other fields. To ensure the accuracy and reliability of their measurement values, the most commonly used method currently is to use external clamp ultrasonic flow meters as standard meters for comparison and calibration with on-site flow meters. However, the on-site fluid medium is not ideal, and the impact of gas content in the liquid on flow meter measurement cannot be ignored. To verify the in-fluence of gas-liquid two-phase flow state on measurement results,a laboratory quality method flow stand-ard device is designed to test the indication error of ultrasonic flow meters and electromagnetic flow meters under different gas-liquid ratios. The two-phase flow state of the standard device is simulated using com-putational fluid dynamics CFD software, and the average flow velocity of the ultrasonic flow meter meas-urement section is calculated. The correctness of CFD calculation results are verified by comparing with the data of the standard device. Finally,an anti-diagnostic method is proposed to guide the online cali-bration of large diameter flow meters on-site.
