Effect of Sintering Temperature and Pore Forming Agent on the Properties of Zeolite Porous Ceramics
Natural zeolite was applied to the field of refractory materials, and porous ceramics were prepared by partial sintering with natural zeolite as the main raw materials,TiO2 and WO3 as additives, and activated carbon as pore making agents. The effects of different sintering temperatures(600,800 and1 000℃)and activated carbon ratios(0,5%and10%)on porosity, compressive strength, phase composition and micromorphology of porous ceramics were mainly discussed. The results showed that the main phase of the sample after sintering was com-posed of TiO2,CaWO4 and quartz, and the phase of the sample did not change significantly with the increase of temperature. When the pro-portion of activated carbon was 10%and the sintering temperature was 1 000℃,the sample showed the best physical properties, with a po-rosity of 50.39%and a compressive strength of 3.78 MPa.It aims to provide valuable theoretical guidance for the preparation of porous ce-ramics using natural zeolite.
