Technical Parameter Design of Transformer and Reactor for Ultra-high Power Electric Arc Furnace
The main function of an arc furnace transformer is to reduce the power supply voltage, generate large currents, and adapt to the arc length required for arc furnace smelting while ensuring power supply efficiency, ensuring the safety of the arc furnace smelting process. At the same time,it provides voltage and current at different levels to meet the needs of the smelting process. The main function of a reactor is to in-crease the reactive power of the line, reduce short-circuit current and power factor, and stabilize arc combustion. At the same time,it provides reactance at different levels to meet the needs of different working conditions in the smelting process. The reasonable design of technical pa-rameters of transformers and reactors is the key to ensuring stable smelting of the arc furnace.Reasonable design of transformer and reactor technical parameters is the key to ensure the stability of EAF smelting.Based on the smelting efficiency and tapping capacity required by EAF,it systematically analyzes the design principle of transformer and reactor parameters of EAF.From the analysis,it can be seen that the transformer capacity is determined based on the electrifying time and tapping capacity of electric arc furnace, while the parameters of trans-former such as secondary voltage, rated current and reactor capacity are calculated based on the constraint conditions of the stability of arc.The calculated results are compared with the reference values of JB/T9640-2014,and the results are well matched.
