Numerical Study on the Heating Process of Ladle Roaster Based on Air-staged Combustion
The air staged combustion technology has been widely proven to effectively improve the heating performance of various burners while reducing NOx emissions. To study the application effect of air staged combustion technology in ladle roasters, this paper designs an air staged burner for ladle baking, and simulates it using CFD software to obtain the ladle baking effect of the burner;at the same time,by comparing and analyzing the temperature distribution, velocity distribution, baking quality, and NOx generation inside the ladle under the same baking conditions between an ungraded ladle roaster and a ladle roaster with an air grading structure,it has been proven that air grading technology can fully burn the fuel inside the ladle roaster, improve the heating temperature and uniformity of the ladle, and thus shorten the baking time;due to the uniform temperature distribution inside the ladle and the absence of localized high temperatures, air graded ladle roasters have lower NOx emissions compared to non graded burners. The proposal of an air classification structure for ladle roasters provides a new research ap-proach for the design of new ladle roasters, which is of great significance for practical production applications.
