Aerodynamic Drag Analysis of Ahmed Body Based on PERA SIM Fluid
In this paper,the Ahmed body model is taken as the research object,and the aerodynamic drag characteristics of the back inclination angles of 0,12.5,25 and 35 are studied by using PERA SIM Fluid,a general fluid dynamics simulation software independently developed by PERA Global.The streamline near the rear of the car body calculated by PERA SIM Fluid is consistent with the streamline topological structure diagram under different back inclination angles in the literature,which verifies the rationality of the simulation results.The drag coefficient calculated by PERA SIM Fluid and the X-direction velocity component on the symmetry plane are also compared with the wind tunnel test data in the references,and the consistent results are obtained,which verifies the calculation accuracy of the software.The process of this research also shows that PERA SIM Fluid software has the characteristics of ease of use,reliability and high precision,and it is a mature general fluid dynamics simulation software.
