An Optimal Design of Dual-Field Modular Addition/Subtraction Calculation Applied to Elliptic Curve Cryptography
The elliptic curve cryptography(ECC)algorithm is widely used in various fields due to its security features.Nowadays the ECC algorithm supporting multi-protocol and multi-field has become a research hotspot. This paper focuses on the ECC algorithm over the prime field and the binary field, optimizes the dual-field modular addition/subtraction calcu-lation.Aiming at the problem that the calculation delay of the adder is relatively large in the modular addition/subtraction over the prime field, the modular addition/subtraction over the prime field is designed to use the same operation path, the combination of the carry saved adder(CSA)and the adder is used to optimize the circuit structure and shorten the modular addition/subtraction running time over the prime field.
