Software testing is a crucial stage in software development.Efficient and timely completion of testing tasks has always been a challenge in the field of software testing.With the explosive development of ChatGPT,AIGC technology has been widely applied in the field of software testing and has even transformed traditional software testing approaches.This pa-per systematically introduces the application of AIGC in software testing.Firstly,it provides an overview of the development of AIGC and briefly introduces the technology and its characteristics.Secondly,it elaborates on the potential uses of AIGC in test case generation,defect detection and repair,test code generation,and test data generation.Thirdly,it analyzes the chal-lenges of AIGC technology in software testing.Finally,it discusses the prospects of its application in software testing.
