Cascaded Task Offloading Strategy of Edge Computing for Power Internet of Things
To address the additional latency and energy consumption caused by cascaded tasks generated by terminal devices in power Internet of Things(IoT)scenario through cloud computing in smart grids,a cascaded task offloading strategy of edge computing for power IoT is proposed in this paper.The research focuses on offloading strategies for sub-tasks after cascaded task is split.Firstly,the system network,cascaded task and dual-queue model are constructed.Next,latency and energy consumption caused by transmission and offloading are modeled.Then the offloading problem is mod-eled as a Markov decision process(MDP),and a reward function involving the latency and energy consumption is con-structed.Finally,the optimal offloading strategy that maximizes the total reward is derived using value iteration.
