Dust Removal Performance of High Concentration Particulate Matter at the Inlet of Cyclone Separator
A volute type cyclone separator installed on an industrial boiler is selected to study the dust removal performance of the cyclone separator through isokinetic sampling, weighing, and pressure drop measurement. The experimental results show that as the concentration of imported particle increases, the dust removal efficiency of cyclone separator for PM1,PM1~2.5,PM2.5~10,and PM>10 all increase;the smaller the particle size range, the greater the improvement in dust removal efficiency;the pressure drop of the cyclone separator increases monotonically. As the concentration of imported particulate matter increases from 321 g/m3 to 1 675 g/m3,the dust removal efficiency increases from 89.7%to 99.0%,and the concentration of out-let particulate matter remains basically unchanged, only slightly decreasing at higher concentrations.
