Effects of Different Additives on Anti-Stripping Performance of Low-Carbon Magnesia Carbon Bricks
The effects of adding different types of antioxidants and different magnesium sources on the anti-stripping performance of low-carbon magnesia carbon bricks were investigated. The results showed that:(1)The composite of antioxidant B4C and SiC at different reaction temperatures resulted in the best an-tioxidant and anti-stripping properties of the sample.(2)When using sintered magnesia or magnesia carbon recycled material as a sintering promoting agent, the liquid phase amount of the sample increased, and the form of thermal shock damage changed from peeling off the material to erosion dissolution.Compared with sintered magnesia, magnesia carbon recycled material formed more liquid phase, which was more conducive to alleviating thermal shock peeling.(3)Low-carbon magnesia carbon bricks were composed of B4C and SiC antioxidants, and the addition of magnesia carbon recycled materials promoted the formation of a liquid phase during sintering, which can improve the anti-stripping performance and prolong the service life.
