Effects of Different Substrates on Cutting Propagation of Three Willow Trees
To study the effects of different substrate treatments on the cutting propagation of white willows, golden willows, and black willows. This study used white willows, golden willows, and black willows as experimental materials, and conducted cutting propagation experiments using three substrates:field soil, sandy soil, and mixed soil. The results showed that different cutting media had significant effects on the length, survival rate, rooting number, average root length, and biomass of new branches of willow cuttings.Among them, the survival rates of the three willow cuttings reached over 95%in the mixed soil matrix, with the lowest survival rate in the sandy soil matrix; The rooting number of three willow cuttings in sandy soil is superior to the other two substrates, reaching a maximum of 15.2.By studying the cutting propagation of three kinds of willows under different substrates, the optimal cutting propagation substrates of three kinds of willows were selected, providing technical support for the propagation, cultivation and industrialization of XizangSalix alba L.Salix alba.and Salix cheilophila.
