As one of the decorative patterns of ancient architecture in China,the architectural color painting pattern of Yongle Palace has great research value.It can realize the modem value of its traditional culture by innovating and applying it to modern design.Taking Yongle Palace architectural color painting pattern as the research object,this paper analyzes the theme,semantics and schema structure of Yongle Palace architectural color painting pattern,then extracts effective design factors,follows the rules of simplification and recombination,abstract deformation,shape grammar,etc.,carries out pattern derivation design,and applies it to modem design.In order to make the decoration pattern of ancient buildings freshen up and provide some reference for modern design.
