Treatment of brewing yellow water by UASB anammox reactor
In order to improve the denitrification performance of anammox bacteria treating brewing wastewater,11 L UASB reactor seeded with anaerobic digestive sludge in brewery wastewater station was adopted.Utilizing the biological membrane carriers'adhesive action of suspended porous spherical biological filler, taking attenuated brewing yellow water as influent water, the reactor could be started-up.The results showed that, the reactor had undergone three stages:sludge performance adaptation period, improving period and stabilizing period. When the reactor went to stabilizing period in 209 d,the removal rates of NH4+-N and NO2--N reached 75%and 99%respectively,the sludge color in the reactor was brown and granular sludge was found at the bottom of the reactor. It could be seen that using UASB anaerobic ammonium oxidation reactor to treat attenuated brewing yellow water could effectively improve the nitrogen removal efficiency.
