Research progress on removal of mercury ions from water by functional adsorbents
The existence of Hg(Ⅱ)in wastewater may pose serious hazards to the natural environment and human health.Among the Hg(Ⅱ)treatment technologies,adsorption method has received widespread attention due to its energy saving and high efficiency characteristics.As the key point of the adsorption method is adsor-bents selection,different types of adsorbents for Hg(Ⅱ)widely used in recent years were summarized with their adsorption capacity and mechanism on Hg(Ⅱ)introduced at the same time.The advantages and disadvantages of different kinds of adsorbents were compared and analyzed,the challenges in the practical application of Hg(Ⅱ)adsorbent in wastewater treatment were put forward,and the future research direction was prospected in order to have a broader industrial application prospect.
