Effect of optimized flocculation on TOC removal and steam quality control in power plants
Taking water from Beijiang river as the raw water, the efficiency of optimized flocculation process on total organic carbon(TOC)removal was discussed, and the control effect of the said process on TOCi and steam hydrogen conductivity of the make-up water of power plants were evaluated. It was found that, through adjusting the dosage of PAC and PAM to 14 and 0.4 mg/L respectively, the removal rate of TOC could be significantly increased to 45%,and then further increased to 50%through discharging sludge timely. In addition, the optimized flocculation process reduced the TOCi of the boiler feedwater by about 50 µg/L,which effectively improved the steam hydrogen conductivity.
