Experimental study on rapid start-up of two stage anammox-simultaneous nitrification and denitrification for liquor wastewater treatment
In order to solve high cost and some other problems existing in advanced denitrification process for liquor wastewater treatment,a pilot-scale system of shortcut denitrification-anammox-simultaneous nitrifica-tion and denitrification was used to carry out rapid start-up experimental research.Taking the actual liquor wastewater pretreated by anaerobic process as the influent water of the denitrification system, the mass concen-trations of COD and ammonia nitrogen were 1 100 and 600 mg/L respectively. The experimental process lasted for 150 days in total, the experimental results showed that, treating anaerobic pretreated liquor wastewater with low carbon-nitrogen ratio, the removal rates of COD and total nitrogen in the pilot-scale system were maintained at 92%and 95%respectively,the total nitrogen removal load of the anammox system was 0.4-0.5 kg[TN]/(m3·d).The anammox system could realize total nitrogen removal without external carbon source, therefore could achieve advanced denitrification. In addition, the said denitrification system can achieve rapid start-up and op-erate with low dissolved oxygen.Compared with conventional nitrification and denitrification process, the said process can significantly reduce electric energy and chemical consumption.
