Objective To explore the rule of prescription medication in the treatment of spleen deficiency diarrheal irritable bowel syndrome(IBS-D)with traditional Chinese medicine by using data mining method.Methods The prescriptions of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Guizhou University of Chinese Medicine for the treatment of spleen deficiency IBS-D were searched from 2016 to 2022.Microsoft Excel 2007 was used to establish the TCM prescription information table and SPSS 23.0 and SPSS Modeler18.0 software were used to conduct nature and taste normalization,efficiency,frequency,association rules,cluster analysis etc in order to find out the medication rules of the hospital's TCM treatment of spleen deficiency diarrheal IBS-D.Results A total of 502 TCM prescriptions were included and the medicinal taste was mostly sweet and the medicinal property was mainly moderate,mostly attributed to the spleen and stomach channel.The main therapeutic drugs were deficiency tonifying drugs and energy promoting drugs.The most frequently used Chinese medicines included white rhizoma,wood fragrance,orange peel and so on.The combinations of common drugs used in treatment included white artificial-wood fragrance,white artificial-orange peel,wood artificial-orange peel etc.Three kinds of prescriptions were obtained by cluster analysis,the main benefits were energy strengthening spleen,energy removing phlegm,dampness preventing diarrhea and so on.Conclusion The IBS-D prescription of spleen deficiency in the hospital is mainly used to invigorate energy and spleen,reduce energy and phlegm,and reduce dampness and diarrhea.Fragrant sand Liujunzi decoction,Shenling Baizhu powder are commonly used in clinical practice.
