Relationship between etiological factors and meteorological conditions of patients with intracerebral hemorrhage of different gender in Guizhou area
Objective To investigate the relationship between etiological factors and meteorological conditions in patients with intracerebral hemorrhage(ICH)of different gender in Guizhou area. Methods A total of 347 patients with ICH in 2020 were selected as the study subjects and divided into male group(nmale=230)and female group(nfemale=117)according to gender. The general clinical data(including age, blood pressure, state of consciousness at admission, smoking history, drinking history, body mass index and stroke history, etc),laboratory parameters(including blood routine, electrolytes, blood glucose and blood lipids),and the meteorological data of Guizhou Meteorological Bureau during the same period(including temperature, air pressure, rainfall, sunshine duration, relative humidity)were collected from the two groups. The levels of indicators were compared between the above two groups. Results The proportion of smoking and drinking in male group was higher than that in female group(P<0.05),while the platelet count, total cholesterol,high-density lipoprotein cholesterol or low-density lipoprotein cholesterol levels of females were significantly lower than that of males(P<0.05).The incidence rate of ICH was significantly different in various intervals of daily mean temperature, daily minimum temperature, daily mean atmospheric pressure, daily mean relative humidity or monthly mean rainfall(P<0.001).Compared with female group, males had the highest incidence ratio in daily mean temperature(6-26 ℃)and daily minimum temperature(2-21 ℃)temperature intervals, while females had the highest incidence ratio in daily mean temperature(11-16 ℃)and daily minimum temperature(2-21 ℃)intervals.Females could tolerate lower temperature more than males. There was a difference in the proportion of male cases in different seasons(P<0.05),with autumn accounting for the highest proportion. Conclusions The incidence of ICH in Guizhou area is susceptible to fluctuations in temperature, air pressure, relative humidity,or rainfall, especially of males.
